Payments are processed through third-party payment processors. Bahama Match does not store full payment card numbers, CVV codes, bank account details, or other sensitive financial authentication data on its own systems. We receive limited transaction-related information only, including:

5. The Matching Process

Bahama Match uses a proprietary matching process to identify potential compatibility between members. This process may involve:

• proprietary matching tools or algorithms;
• manual review by Bahama Match personnel or approved representatives; or
• a combination of automated and manual review.

Profile information, questionnaire responses, preferences, and photographs are processed through this matching system to support match suggestions and member communications during your membership term.

Matching-related processing does not guarantee that you will be matched, and it does not guarantee any specific outcome, relationship, or level of compatibility. Membership does not guarantee a match, and a match — if made — is not a guarantee of a relationship, engagement, or marriage.

You have the right to request information about how automated processing applies to your profile and to raise concerns about automated decisions. See Section 10 (Your Rights and Choices) for more information.

6. Photo Visibility Policy

Your profile photograph is treated with particular care:

• Your photograph is not visible to other members browsing generally.
• Your photograph is disclosed only to a member you have been matched with, and only while your membership is active.
• Profile photos are used internally for matching administration and, where you have consented, may be used in promotional materials in accordance with Section 8.
• Bahama Match staff and authorized administrators may access profile photographs for operational and verification purposes only.

You may request the deletion of your profile photograph at any time. Deletion requests will be honored prospectively and will not affect disclosures already made to matched members.

7. When We Share Personal Information

We do not sell member personal data to third parties. We may disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary in the following circumstances:

A. With Matched Members

Your profile photograph and profile card will be disclosed to a member you have been matched with, while your membership is active. Your personal contact information (email address, phone number) will not be shared with other members without your express consent.

Bahama Match verifies member identity through a government-issued ID, but does not conduct criminal background checks, marital status verification, or other investigative screening of members. You, not Bahama Match, are responsible for exercising caution when communicating with or meeting a match, and for independently obtaining a criminal background check, marital status verification, or any other information you feel you need about a match before communicating with, meeting, or entering into a relationship with them.

B. Service Providers and Vendors

We may share information with trusted third parties who help us operate Bahama Match, such as:

• website and hosting providers;
• form, database, or cloud-storage providers;
• payment processors;
• WhatsApp Business, email, and messaging vendors;
• analytics providers;
• photographers and content providers; and
• professional advisers such as accountants, insurers, or legal counsel.

These parties receive only the information reasonably necessary for their role and are required to handle member data in a manner consistent with applicable data protection standards.

C. Legal, Safety, and Compliance Reasons

We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to: comply with applicable law, regulation, court order, subpoena, or lawful request; protect the rights, safety, or property of Bahama Match, members, staff, or others; investigate fraud, misconduct, abuse, harassment, or security incidents; or enforce our Terms and Conditions, Code of Conduct, or other platform rules.

D. Business Changes

If Bahama Match undergoes a business reorganization, merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, member information may be transferred as part of that process. We will provide reasonable notice of any such transfer and any changes to this Privacy Policy that may result.

8. Photography, Video, and Media

Bahama Match may photograph, film, or otherwise capture media in connection with webinars, promotional activities, or other business operations. If you participate in such activities, your image, likeness, voice, or appearance may be captured intentionally or incidentally. Such media may be used by Bahama Match for legitimate business purposes including internal records, archival use, social media, website content, and promotional materials.

Where Bahama Match offers an approved written opt-out for certain promotional uses, we will make reasonable efforts to honor that request. Please note that an opt-out may not be feasible for archival records or other incidental captures, and does not apply to materials already produced prior to receipt of the request.

All members are prohibited from photographing, recording, or filming other members without their express consent, in accordance with the Code of Conduct in the Terms and Conditions.

9. International Processing and Cross-Border Transfers

Bahama Match is culturally grounded in The Bahamas and welcomes members from around the world, including the Bahamian diaspora. By registering, you acknowledge that your personal data may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in The Bahamas and in other countries where our service providers operate.

European Union and EEA Members

If you are a citizen or resident of the European Union or European Economic Area, you acknowledge that your personal data will be transferred to The Bahamas, which may not provide the same level of data protection as your home jurisdiction under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Even if you opt out of marketing, we may still send transactional or service-related messages necessary to administer your membership.

13. How Long We Keep Information

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Typical retention periods include:

• General inquiries: up to 12 months after the last meaningful contact;
• Profiles, questionnaires, and membership records: for the duration of your active membership and for up to 24 months after your membership ends, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary;
• Payment and transaction records: for as long as required by applicable law, accounting standards, payment-provider rules, or fraud-prevention needs;
• Marketing records: until you opt out or until no longer reasonably needed; and

If litigation, complaints, investigations, or legal holds arise, we may retain relevant information longer as reasonably necessary. 15. Adult-Only Service

Bahama Match is intended exclusively for adults. We do not knowingly solicit or permit registration by anyone under 18 years of age, or the age of legal majority in their jurisdiction, whichever is higher. If we learn that we have collected personal information from someone who is not eligible to use the service, we will delete that information and take steps to block or remove the registration.
